Owning and running my own maker’s retreat has been in the back of my mind since I attended my first retreat many years ago. I never thought the opportunity would present itself, but when it did I grabbed on with both hands! After many conversations with my very supportive husband, I threw whole heart into this dream of mine!

My husband and I raised three beautiful daughters on a nearly 100 acre farm where we currently live. Through hard work and dedication we have been able to expand on what his mother and father started for us and our daughters.

We currently own approximately 200 acres and farm about 600 acres. We grow corn and soybeans plus about 60+ acres of produce. Sweetcorn is our specialty. See more about the farm at https://burekfarms.com

Maker’s Retreat is conveniently located on highway 35 in LaPorte, Indiana making it is easy to find and get to. From the back patio the farm we love so much is visible and accessible too.

When a break in the creative process and a little fresh air is needed, guests are able to walk the lanes and get a feel for what we do on our farm. Guests visiting May through October will have the opportunity to visit the farm stand right around the corner from the retreat.
